| ...translating our Christian belief into action. 2012 Focus: Human Trafficking The Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Chicago will be focusing on the issue of human trafficking which began with our programs at Diocesan Convention, November 2011 and continues through 2012. Our two Convention speakers, Sarah Rogers from Women At Risk, International and Heather Bradley of The Night Ministry, presented programs on local and international issues. Rachel Durchslag has been working in the social justice community for more than eight years. After receiving her BS from Skidmore College in2000 with a double major in women's studies and social work, Rachel moved to Chicago. She received her masters degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago. The Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation was founded in June, 2006. CAASE is an organization the works to eliminate sexual exploitation through litigation and advocacy, organizing and policy reform, and prevention and resource development. |
