Saturday morning the Zoom session will start at 8:15am and The Rev. Trilby Murray our ECW Chaplain will begin our retreat with Morning Prayer at 8:30am.

Our retreat leader, The Rev. Laurie Michaels, will welcome our attendees and outline our schedule following the service.  Lunch break will be for an hour beginning at 11:45am.  
Our day together will conclude with Compline.

Deacon Trilby has been an integral part of each of our retreats, and for this retreat, she will be our worship leader for Morning Prayer, a meditation session, and Compline.

Workshop 1:  Physical Health

Linda Tinson, MPH, APRN, CNP-BC, ACCHT, RhT

Holistic Counseling Service

Linda Tinson is a primary care nurse practitioner with extensive skills and experience in behavioral health counseling. She brings years of medical experiences to her transpersonal psychology and hypnotherapy practice, and energy medicine practices. Linda’s focus is on creating expansion in the body and in the psyche, so that one may hold all that is possible for their lives.


Workshop 2:  Mental Health

Chaplain Vicky Syren, MACM, CCISM

AMITA Health System

Chaplain Vicky Syren is a cradle Episcopalian who has spent over 20 years as a hospital Chaplain and Pastoral Care Manager. She received her Master of Christian Ministry from Northern Seminary. She is a member and approved instructor of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and compassion fatigue educator. Her main area of expertise is in Trauma Chaplaincy (trauma event debriefs of hospital staff and first responders).

 

Workshop 3: Spiritual Health

The Rev. Laurie Michaels

Deacon, Retreat Leader, Spiritual Director

Deacon, St. Mary's, Park Ridge

Deacon Laurie was ordained as a vocational deacon in the Diocese of Chicago on Feb 6, 2010. She currently serves as a deacon at St Mary’s-Park Ridge and previously served at St. Michael’s-Barrington. In May 2020 she received her Certificate in Spiritual Direction through the Christos Center for Spiritual Formation. Prior to her ordination, Laurie worked for 25 years as a Registered Nurse in a variety of hospital, clinical and school settings.
