Our Annual Programs

Each year the Episcopal Church Women provide a number of programs featuring speakers, worship, presentations, workshops and other educational options as women from across the diocese share our faith and fellowship.

Annual Meeting and Convention

Women from across the diocese gather each year to renew friendships and hear about the business of the Episcopal Church Women in Chicago. Our convention includes workshops, displays, a featured speaker and a worship service. Our meetings have been held online since 2020 and we have found that it enables more participation. As we plan our 2023 Annual Meeting it will at least be a hybrid of online and in-person.

Altar Guild Conference

The quiet service of the altar guild and the history of the church are the two themes of our altar guild conference. Membership in a guild is not required, and all interested individuals are invited to attend. As with most of our programs, we follow a featured presenter and workshop format. The Altar Guild Conference of September, 2021 was a hybrid of online and in-person hosted by Grace - New Lenox.

Women's Fall Retreat

Our retreat usually includes at least one overnight, and provides an opportunity to pause and reflect individually and in community. Our retreat includes a featured leader, music, worship, prayer, and meditation options. Our 2020 retreat was held online, and we look forward to being together at DeKoven in the fall of 2021.
