My church doesn't have a chapter.  
Can I still attend ECW sponsored events?
Yes!  All of the ECW programs are open to anyone.  The only exception is our retreat - that is a women-only event.  Our programs and mission revolve around women and the issues that are important to them, but men are welcome to attend and guests are also welcome.

All women of The Episcopal Church are automatically members of the Episcopal Church Women organization!  
We do not have dues, and we are open to women of all ages.  We are also fully inclusive of individuals on the LGBTQ spectrum and welcome anyone who identifies as female.

Do you have skills to share with the ECW of Chicago? Are you looking to re-enter the job market and need to build your resume? We are always open to new and current members who are interested in using their time and skills to work with our program chairs to bring projects to fruition or to take charge of part or all of a project. We also have positions on the board of directors that you may be interested in. There are many ways    to give back to ECW and we invite you to tell us about your interests. The women in our church want to start an  ECW chapter.  How do we get started?

Women's groups in churches vary widely, with some of the groups having officers and call themselves an ECW chapter.  Other women gather as a book club, prayer group, young mother's group, or the knitting ministry - and all these groups are embraced by the ECW.  If the women in your church would like to adopt a traditional structure, then our booklet Join, Participate, Lead will be useful.   It contains a simple outline for developing a chapter.  You may click here for our pamphlet.
